Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to develop and/or maintain an erection during sexual performance. Male sexual arousal is a complex process that involves the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, muscles, and blood vessels. Physical conditions like circulation problems, drug-related side effects, and hormonal imbalances, can be causes. ED can also result from stress and mental health concerns.
If you’ve been diagnosed by your doctor with ED, you join a club with millions of members, whose ages range from their 20s and into their 80s or more. In fact, Erectile Dysfunction affects 40-70% of men depending on your age.
Common causes include:
- Heart disease
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Certain prescription medications
- Low testosterone
- Tobacco use
- Surgeries of the pelvic area
- Peyronie’s Disease (scar tissue within the penis)
- Depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions
Depending on the cause and severity of your erectile dysfunction and any underlying health conditions, there are various treatments and medication options available at Sweetgrass Pharmacy & Compounding. We can dispense manufactured medications, both brand name and generic like, Viagra (Sildenafil), Cialis (Tadalafil), Levitra (Vardenafil), Testosterone, in different forms and strengths, at competitive prices.
One advantage is our Compounding Lab. Compounding medication allows us to customize just for you and your needs.
Unlike the big pharmacy chains, we’re able to produce medications in many different forms; like, tablets, capsules, creams, gels, troches, rapid dissolve tablets (RDTs) and nasal sprays, all in various strengths and doses. We’re even able to combine some of these medications. Because these medications are customized, some supplements can be included, and we can eliminate ingredients that may trigger allergies like dyes, gluten, and preservatives. Some of our compounds can be flavored, as well.
Erectile function can be an important part of your psychological well-being. There are many treatments available. See your physician and/or specialist if you’re experiencing these issues. Medications are compounded and dispensed to patients only upon receipt of a valid, patient-specific prescription.
Please feel free to call our pharmacy if you have any questions about some of the manufactured and compounded medications available to help treat ED. We also carry vitamins and supplements that can also help maintain a healthy sex life.
There is nothing to be embarrassed about. We provide medications for hundreds of patients with ED and we’re happy to help you find the right form of medications - just for you.
